The front contains the official USMC Anniversary emblem, in a traditional minting strike style with an antique finish patina and bold transparent enamel highlights bringing out the proud colors of the Corps, the text “ONCE A MARINE, ALWAYS A MARINE” and “SEMPER FIDELIS” boldly displayed. The reverse features a detailed high relief design showing important symbols of the Corps: the Eagle Globe and Anchor (EGA) and the historical birthplace of the Corps at Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, in 1775.
